Hiya, I'm Lennie.

I am based in Skelmersdale and provide Counselling in Person & Online

I help people who are experiencing feelings of confusion, fear, and shame; People who think “I need this to stop, I need this to be different” but don’t know where to begin. By providing a warm and open space where you feel comfortable and safe, I can help you to make a start.

Together, we'll explore how to reach the place where you know how to deal with what life throws at you, and feel proud of how far you have come.

Life can be hard and not knowing how to take control of it can make us feel hopeless.

The Covid-19 outbreak has brought about a period of unexpected challenges in every part of life. Many people feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or frightened. You may be feeling:

  • Unsure if you'll ever feel how you want to feel

  • You wish your life was like other people’s

  • Confused by how much you love your family, but hate them at the same time

  • Afraid to trust the people around you

If you feel there is too much to deal with right now and you just need space, you might find it in counselling. I will help you to explore what is troubling you at a pace that is right for you.

I can't promise that everything will always be okay, but I will be with you to help you find your way through it.

Like so many people, as a teenager, I felt like nothing I did was right and everyone was better than me. I was so scared that I was going to do or say something wrong. So scared, I would do anything to be liked… I would do anything to be the person that anyone wanted me to be. I have spent enough time being the person who I am not, to know how painful it is to hide the bits you love about yourself for fear that someone will make that bad too. Our life is just that, ours! We can choose who we are and choose to love ourselves. I know from experience that life feels so much better that way.

A Little About My Professional Background

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling at Edge Hill University. Since then I have trained in Psychodynamic Therapy and Relationship Counselling.

At the beginning of my career, I built a counselling service in a UTC Academy providing counselling to their students. This quickly progressed to working in schools across my area.
Throughout my career, I have furthered my knowledge to make sure I am the best at helping the students and families I work with. This has included working with Addiction, Trauma, Domestic Violence and, most recently, EMDR with Dominic Beirne.
